Draughts (Checkers) is a popular board game in Jamaica, with long traditions and fiercely contested titles. The rules are exactly the same as in Pool Checkers with one cosmetic change - they place the board with the dark square on the bottom right.

The players are devided into four classes - the best Class A players (normally less than 10) are Class 1, followed by Class 2, Class 3 and class 4 (Bramble). Players challenge each other to matches, the goal is to score 6-0. The scores seem to be kept verbally.

Our library contains several articles about Jamaican Draughts. There is no evidence of written games yet, though we know of several Jamaican players interested in study.
