Introduction
Those playing on Vog know
about the wonderful feature it has - Archive Games.
With the archive one can really study analyzing the games of such players
like Shvartsman or Kandaurov, the wonderful Brazilian masters - or even your
own games.
In 2002 there was a
match between two great American players - checkers64
and Eastpoint.
It was
not an official match but a match nevertheless - the two played 84
exciting games, day after day, month after month.
Both gave as much as they
received.
There were no quick draws, both players fought to win, demonstrating
high skills and topping each other in wits and ingenuity. Each of the players
made holes in his opponent's favorite opening lines, and each of them found
ways to improve their lines.
To the reader - remember that these games were not official. As such both
players felt comfortable experimenting with moves they would not normally
make in the official game. Therefore it would be meaningless to judge who
was stronger - they ended up about even anyway.
Yet these games are of extremely high quality and studying them can help a
willing student to understand the game much deeper.
I took upon myself to add a comment here and there - but it would be a much
better idea for the players themselves to comment out a game or two - to let
us on the way they think, on their philosophy of the game, on their unique
perspective and understanding.
